Alkahest

Album Notes & Community Reviews

'Alkahest' represents a towering, creatively fulfilling achievement in the lengthy discography of Italian doom eccentric Paul Chain, famously featuring extensive vocal contributions from Cathedral's Lee Dorrian. The record seamlessly blends crushing, monolithic guitar riffs with Chain's signature esoteric and highly improvisational sonic elements. It stands today as a profound, deeply atmospheric exploration of esoteric mysticism and remains a highly revered artifact within the traditional doom metal underground.
