Album Notes & Community Reviews

Featuring the telepathic interplay of Charles Brackeen and J.F. Jenny-Clark, 'Le voyage' is a masterclass in deeply spacious, atmospheric free jazz. Paul Motian鈥檚 drumming is characteristically lyrical and abstract, allowing the saxophone and double bass ample room to explore fractured, meditative melodies. The trio crafts an intense, brooding soundscape that exemplifies the sophisticated avant-garde aesthetic of the ECM label.
