Biography
American jazz saxophonist (1940 to 2021) from Eufaula, Oklahoma, United States, playing mainly tenor and soprano saxophone. Charles Brackeen made his leader debut with 'Rhythm X' (1968) on #Strata-East#, worked in the *Paul Motian* trio on the #ECM# albums 'Dance' and 'Le Voyage', and returned after a long recording gap with three albums for #Silkheart# in 1987, among them 'Bannar', 'Attainment' and 'Worshippers Come Nigh'.
