Album Notes & Community Reviews
Built on the foundational hard rock songwriting of Stone Gossard and Jeff Ament, Pearl Jam's debut 'Ten' is defined by Mike McCready's soaring, classic rock-inspired guitar solos and a grand, reverb-heavy production that amplifies the material's anthemic quality. Eddie Vedder's impassioned vocal delivery and his narrative lyrics鈥攅xploring dark themes of alienation, suicide, and social commentary鈥攈elped propel the album far beyond its grunge origins to become a commercial and cultural cornerstone of 1990s alternative rock.
