Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded with minimal accompaniment鈥攑rimarily consisting of Stella Castellucci's harp and Gene DiNovi's harpsichord鈥攖his album is an incredibly stark, atmospheric departure for the jazz-pop vocalist. The repertoire blends traditional Chinese folk melodies, spoken-word poetry, and delicate ballads, requiring her to utilize a hushed, vibrato-less delivery. It stands as a profound, meditative precursor to the minimalist vocal movements of later decades.
