Album Notes & Community Reviews

Deliberately moving away from the neon-lit, cyberpunk synthwave that defined his early career, James Kent pushed his sound heavily into the realm of 1980s gothic rock and post-punk. The album incorporates driving analog drum machines, icy darkwave synthesizers, and prominent, reverb-drenched electric guitars to construct a bleak, incredibly hedonistic nocturnal atmosphere. It secured his reputation as an artist capable of significant, highly successful evolution.
