Album Notes & Community Reviews

Working closely with acclaimed producer Steve Lillywhite, the legendary jam band intentionally reigned in their trademark extended improvisations in favor of focused, tightly structured songwriting. The heavily acoustic, remarkably gentle studio approach highlighted their increasingly sophisticated vocal harmonies and mature melodic sensibilities. It is widely considered their most accessible, cohesive studio effort, bridging their sprawling live energy with concise alternative rock.
