Album Notes & Community Reviews

Rupert Parkes dramatically pivoted away from the complex, high-BPM jungle that defined his early career, exploring slower, heavily atmospheric four-on-the-floor rhythms. 'Solaris' surprised the drum and bass community by leaning heavily into deep house, notably featuring a highly praised vocal collaboration with Robert Owens. The album signaled a controversial but mature expansion of his meticulous electronic production style.
