ONYX'!

Album Notes & Community Reviews

As the deluxe edition of his 'BLACK!ANTIQUE' album, 'ONYX!' pushes Pink Siifu’s experimental hip-hop further into abrasive and hazy territory, blending industrial crunch, punk-rap, and grainy soul fragments. The production is a chaotic mix of blown-out distortion and woozy melodies, creating a dense atmosphere that shifts without warning. Through it all, Siifu's performance remains the anchor, delivering paranoid confessionals and intimate appraisals of Black identity with a versatile flow that is both confrontational and vulnerable.
