Album Notes & Community Reviews

Their second post-reunion album marks the official studio debut of bassist Paz Lenchantin (who replaced founding member Kim Deal). The record attempts to recapture the raw, melodic noise-pop dynamics of their late-1980s heyday, featuring slightly glossier production and Black Francis's signature surreal lyricism. While facing heavy comparisons to their classic run, it proved a sturdy addition to their revived catalog.
