Album Notes & Community Reviews

Reforming with their classic lineup plus the celebrated flautist Matt Molloy, 'After the Break' captures Planxty operating with renewed vigor and breathtaking instrumental synergy. The band seamlessly integrates complex Eastern European time signatures, most notably on the staggering 'Smeceno Horo', alongside deep traditional Irish balladry. It stands as a masterful, highly influential testament to their unparalleled acoustic virtuosity.
