Album Notes & Community Reviews
'From the Inside' represents Poco's conscious move toward a tighter, more polished country-rock sound under the guidance of producer Steve Cropper[cite: 1]. The Memphis soul legend brought an unexpected rhythmic punch to the band's trademark harmonies and twangy instrumentation[cite: 1]. It helped solidify their position as architects of the Southern California rock sound, even amidst significant lineup changes[cite: 1].
