Album Notes & Community Reviews
This incredibly unique collaboration pairs the chaotic French avant-prog band PoiL with the traditional Japanese satsuma-biwa player and vocalist Junko Ueda. The record sets ancient Japanese epic poetry to dizzying, hyper-complex math-rock rhythms and heavy synthesizer lines. It acts as a masterful, highly theatrical fusion of medieval storytelling and virtuosic experimental rock.
