Album Notes & Community Reviews

Under the continued guidance of producer Richard Perry, the Pointer Sisters seamlessly transitioned into the new decade with the incredibly slick, pop-oriented R&B of 'Special Things'. The album perfectly balances upbeat, synth-heavy funk with sophisticated yacht rock balladry. It yielded the timeless, massive crossover hit 'He's So Shy', solidifying their status as premiere 1980s pop divas.
