Album Notes & Community Reviews

Pioneering the sample-heavy, dance-oriented 'Grebo' subculture, the West Midlands outfit delivered a remarkably prescient fusion of alternative rock and hip-hop aesthetics. The album utilizes frenetic plunderphonic techniques, pasting together fragments of comic books, film dialogue, and heavy guitar riffs over booming drum machine beats. It serves as an incredibly vibrant, chaotic snapshot of British indie culture colliding with hip-hop's golden age.
