The House

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Aaron Maine's third album under the Porches moniker continues his steady migration from scruffy indie rock into highly polished, profoundly melancholic synth-pop. Written during a period of intense personal isolation following a breakup, the remarkably concise album is defined by its icy drum machines, heavily auto-tuned vocal performances, and deep sense of romantic longing. It stands as a beautifully cold, highly introspective entry into the modern bedroom pop canon.
