Album Notes & Community Reviews

Released less than two years after their debut, 'We Are Always Alone' finds Portrayal of Guilt refining their bleak and punishing sound into something even more suffocating and apocalyptic. The album masterfully combines the fury of blackened hardcore and screamo with the crushing weight of sludge metal and industrial noise. This is a misanthropic and intense record that drags the listener through a landscape of despair, solidifying the band's status as a formidable force in modern extreme music.
