Album Notes & Community Reviews

The third studio album from the Canadian post-punk outfit leans heavily into incredibly rigid, mechanically precise drum machine rhythms and icy synthesizer textures. Deliberately abandoning the sprawling, multi-part epics of their earlier work, the deeply pessimistic record focuses on concise, highly claustrophobic gothic rock anthems regarding depression and existential doom. It stands as a brilliant, terrifyingly cold execution of modern darkwave.
