Album Notes & Community Reviews

An undisputed underground classic, the debut album from the California quartet perfectly marries the delicate, jazzy tapping of midwest emo with the sprawling, dynamic crescendoes of post-rock. Luke Palascak's whispered, ethereal vocals float above an impossibly complex, shifting instrumental bedrock that feels both incredibly calculated and remarkably relaxing. The record holds immense legendary status within the modern math-rock revival.
