Biography
American post-rock and math rock band from Moorpark, California, formed in 2004 by Joel Morgan, Luke Palascak and Timothy Ramirez, later joined on bass by Mike Russell. Pretend released 'Bones in the Soil, Rust in the Oil' in 2009, then signed to #Topshelf Records# for 'Tapestry'd Life' in 2015 and 'Circular R忙soning' in 2017. Their self-taught playing uses alternate tunings, jazz influenced drumming and long, patient structures, placing them at the melodic end of math rock alongside influences *American Football* and *Dilute*.
