Album Notes & Community Reviews

The Irish extreme metal pioneers debuted with a remarkably raw, intensely atmospheric fusion of second-wave black metal and traditional Celtic folklore. A.A. Nemtheanga's incredibly theatrical, varied vocal performance ranges from vicious shrieks to deeply sorrowful, clean chants. The profoundly melancholic, highly unpolished recording established their unique, culturally rich identity far outside the established Scandinavian black metal aesthetic.
