Album Notes & Community Reviews

Released primarily to fulfill his highly contentious contract with Warner Bros., the artist commonly known as Prince delivered a heavily guitar-driven, remarkably fast-paced rock record. The production possesses a raw, live-in-the-studio energy, eschewing the meticulous synthesizer arrangements of his defining eras. Despite its contractual origins, the energetic performances display his formidable, often underappreciated capabilities as a hard rock guitarist.
