Album Notes & Community Reviews

Released immediately after freeing himself from a deeply contentious contract with Warner Bros., the artist commonly known as Prince celebrated his independence with a staggering three-disc collection. The three hours of music traverse incredibly diverse territory, seamlessly transitioning from tight, contemporary R&B grooves to sweeping pop-soul covers and heavy funk jams. It stands as an overwhelming, defiant monument to his unrestrained artistic autonomy.
