Album Notes & Community Reviews

Reflecting his deep spiritual awakening and recent conversion to the Jehovah's Witness faith, Prince delivered one of his most musically complex and polarizing concept albums. 'The Rainbow Children' largely abandons radio-friendly pop in favor of intricate jazz-funk improvisation, narrated by a heavily pitch-shifted voice that explores esoteric religious themes and social justice.
