Dominick Fernow's harsh noise project takes a noticeably slower, more death-industrial approach on this terrifying release. Replacing the chaotic, hyper-speed frequency attacks of his earlier work with suffocating, glacial feedback drones and buried, agonizing vocal shrieks, the album creates a deeply cinematic atmosphere of decay. It marked an important evolutionary step toward his eventual synth-driven dark ambient experiments.
