Album Notes & Community Reviews

Moving further away from their chaotic post-punk origins, John Lydon steers PiL into surprisingly accessible, dance-oriented territory on their seventh studio album. Featuring the pristine guitar work of John McGeoch, '9' embraces bright synthesizers, prominent melodic hooks, and polished production. Despite the pop sheen, Lydon's distinctively venomous vocal delivery and cynical lyricism remain fiercely intact.
