Album Notes & Community Reviews
The highly conceptual third album from the British instrumental group meticulously chronicles the history, decline, and devastating aftermath of the Welsh coal mining industry. The tracking relies on their signature technique of building driving, post-rock and electronic arrangements entirely around historical audio clips, newsreels, and interview samples. The project also prominently features regional choral singing and guest vocals from James Dean Bradfield of Manic Street Preachers.
