Album Notes & Community Reviews

Capturing a transitional and troubled period for the Sheffield outfit, 'Freaks' leans heavily into bleak, theatrical textures rather than the glittering glamour they would later achieve. Unconventional instrumentation and shared vocal duties play a crucial role in establishing the record's uniquely unsettling, macabre atmosphere.
