Album Notes & Community Reviews

Highlighting the monumental, profoundly melancholic scale of Tchaikovsky's only piano trio, this recording captures a performance of immense lyrical sensitivity and virtuosic power. The sweeping, symphonic approach to the chamber instrumentation underscores the elegiac nature of the composition. It is widely considered a definitive mid-century interpretation of Russian romanticism.
