Album Notes & Community Reviews
Marking a departure from the guitar-centric rock of 'The Bends', Radiohead's third album 'OK Computer' features a densely layered and atmospheric sound developed with producer Nigel Godrich. The album's abstract lyrics and eclectic influences explore prescient themes of consumerism, technology-driven alienation, and anti-capitalism. Critically acclaimed upon release, 'OK Computer' is considered a landmark work that initiated a shift in British rock away from Britpop toward a more melancholic, experimental style.
