Album Notes & Community Reviews

The Roots' vocal percussionist built his solo debut largely from his own mouth, beatboxing, scratching and singing at the same time in the routine that earned him the billing Godfather of Noyze. Pete Rock produced the first single 'All I Know' and Marley Marl the title track with TJ Swan, while the guests include Q-Tip on 'To The Beat', Black Thought on 'Suga Sista' and Branford Marsalis with Meshell Ndegeocello on 'My Soul'. Members of the Roots also produced and performed on several tracks.
