Album Notes & Community Reviews
'Sehnsucht' cemented Rammstein's signature Neue Deutsche Härte sound, merging disciplined, chugging guitar riffs and prominent synthesizer layers with Till Lindemann’s commanding baritone vocals. The album's polished yet aggressive production provides a powerful backdrop for its lyrical themes of desire, perversion, and societal taboos, which propelled it to international acclaim and made it the only German-language album to be certified platinum in the United States.
