Album Notes & Community Reviews

Capitalizing on the unexpected pop success of 'Short People', the famously acerbic songwriter delivered perhaps his most aggressively cynical and over-the-top satirical album. The record gleefully attacks the superficiality of the music industry and late-70s corporate culture, famously featuring the artist performing in KISS-style makeup on the cover. Utilizing massive, Electric Light Orchestra-style rock arrangements, it polarized critics but remains a brilliant showcase of his biting wit.
