Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded in New York but deeply influenced by his extended residency in Morocco, pianist Randy Weston fuses North African rhythms with expansive big band jazz. Arranged by Melba Liston, the album features an all-star lineup including Freddie Hubbard and Ron Carter, successfully bridging the gap between American post-bop and global African grooves.
