Album Notes & Community Reviews
Comprised entirely of original material, 'Willie Remembers..' sees the ensemble moving away from the extended Motown covers that defined their early success. The project doubles down on a gritty funk-rock foundation, utilizing heavy percussion and driving basslines to create dense, jam-oriented grooves. It stands as an assertive attempt to solidify their identity as autonomous songwriters within a rock-leaning soul context.
