Novo Aeon

by Raul Seixas

Novo Aeon cover art

Regarded as one of Raul Seixas's most radical works, 'Novo Aeon' blends rock and roll with elements of baião, country, and romantic ballads, creating a stylistically diverse soundscape. The album's lyrics, co-authored in large part by Paulo Coelho, are heavily imbued with occultist themes from Aleister Crowley, advocating for individual freedom and a new era of consciousness in tracks like "Tente Outra Vez" and the provocative "Rock do Diabo". Despite its initial commercial failure following the highly successful 'Gita', 'Novo Aeon' has since achieved cult status and critical acclaim for its artistic ambition and has been recognized as a landmark album in Brazilian rock.
