Album Notes & Community Reviews
Famed conga player Ray Barretto temporarily steps away from strict salsa arrangements to explore an expansive, highly sophisticated blend of Latin jazz and 1970s fusion. The CTI Records release is marked by Creed Taylor's pristine production, pairing explosive Afro-Cuban polyrhythms with incredibly slick, orchestrated brass sections.
