Album Notes & Community Reviews
Former Depeche Mode keyboardist Alan Wilder constructs a deeply ominous, highly cinematic atmosphere for his fifth solo outing. 'Liquid' relies heavily on the tense, spoken-word poetry of guest vocalists like Diamanda Gal谩s, layered over meticulously produced, dark trip-hop rhythms. The album's chilling focus on near-death experiences and violence makes it one of his most psychologically demanding works.
