Album Notes & Community Reviews
Showcasing a significantly punchier, more muscular rock production, 'Lifes Rich Pageant' finds R.E.M. stepping confidently toward mainstream accessibility. Michael Stipe鈥檚 previously buried vocals are pushed to the forefront, delivering highly conscious, politically driven lyrics atop incredibly melodic, energetic jangle-pop riffs. The album is a bittersweet, uplifting bridge between their indie roots and stadium rock future.
