John McLaughlin revived his 1970s Indo-jazz group Shakti with tabla master Zakir Hussain and ghatam player Vikku Vinayakram, flautist Hariprasad Chaurasia taking the seat once held by L. Shankar. Recorded across four nights in England, the double album runs over two hours of jazz fusion built on Hindustani classical structures, the reunion document of the project.
