Album Notes & Community Reviews

Chatham marked thirty years of his 1977 composition 'Guitar Trio' with a North American tour in which local ensembles, including members of Sonic Youth, Tortoise, Godspeed You! Black Emperor and H眉sker D眉, took up the three-guitar formation in each city. This three-disc set with a forty-eight-page book documents ten of those performances, the piece's overtone-rich strumming rebuilt nightly by different hands.
