Album Notes & Community Reviews

The Chicago punk band's fourth studio album and a major commercial success, 'The Sufferer & the Witness' is a landmark of modern melodic hardcore. The record is a relentless barrage of fast-paced, energetic punk rock, elevated by huge, anthemic choruses and Tim McIlrath's passionate, politically charged lyrics. It perfectly balanced underground credibility with mainstream accessibility, producing several enduring hits.
