Album Notes & Community Reviews
Showcasing Robyn Hitchcock at his most delightfully absurd and melodic, 'Queen Elvis' perfectly balances his eccentric English whimsy with polished jangle-pop production. The album features guest appearances by R.E.M.'s Peter Buck, which highlights the strong mutual admiration and shared folk-rock aesthetic between the two acts. The songwriting remains highly cryptic and psychedelic, filled with surreal humor and vivid imagery.
