Biography
Robyn Hitchcock and the Egyptians were the band led by English singer Robyn Hitchcock with his former *Soft Boys* bandmates Andy Metcalfe and Morris Windsor, formed in 1984. Their albums for #A&M Records#, including 'Globe of Frogs' and 'Queen Elvis', brought Hitchcock's surreal psychedelic pop to American college radio, and 'Perspex Island' (1991) gave them an alternative chart number one before they split in 1994.
