Album Notes & Community Reviews

Backed by a stellar ensemble that includes Peter Buck of R.E.M. and Scott McCaughey, the idiosyncratic British songwriter delivers a surprisingly direct and energized collection of psychedelic jangle-pop. 'Ol茅! Tarantula' balances his signature surrealist wordplay with tight, melodic rock arrangements. The collaboration revitalized his sound for the latter half of the decade.
