Following a scrapped set of recordings produced in San Francisco, Gallagher returned to a stripped-down power trio format to track 'Photo-Finish' in Germany. The resulting album is a remarkably aggressive, back-to-basics hard rock effort that eschewed the keyboards present on his prior mid-seventies releases.
