Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded in extremely primitive studio conditions, Roy Harper's debut album introduces his distinctive, highly percussive acoustic guitar technique and idiosyncratic vocal phrasing. The sparse, uncompromising folk arrangements highlight his sprawling, poetic lyricism and distinctly English cynicism.
