Album Notes & Community Reviews

Marking his departure from Fania Records, Blades teamed with the innovative sextet Seis del Solar to revolutionize salsa music by substituting traditional brass sections with synthesizers and a modernized rhythm section. The record鈥檚 deeply poetic, socially conscious narratives directly address Latin American political disappearances, poverty, and political violence. It elevated salsa from dancefloor entertainment to a vehicle for profound journalistic storytelling.
