Out of the Game

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Collaborating with blockbuster producer Mark Ronson, the famously theatrical singer-songwriter delivers his most accessible and outwardly joyful album in years. The record largely sets aside his intense operatic inclinations in favor of breezy, 1970s-inspired AM radio pop, blue-eyed soul, and lush orchestral arrangements. It successfully translates his distinctively flamboyant melodic sensibilities into warm, deeply infectious vintage pop songwriting.
