Album Notes & Community Reviews

Documenting a period of heavy excess and emotional turbulence while living in New York's Chelsea Hotel, Wainwright's sophomore effort is an opulent display of modern baroque pop. 'Poses' features lush string arrangements and complex melodic structures that heavily evoke golden-era Tin Pan Alley sophistication. His rich, operatic tenor flawlessly anchors the deeply confessional and romantically fraught songwriting.
